At the moment the result from Gródek is great - comparing previous seasons we have the largest number of nests.
Gródek - area of approx. 65 ha in electric fence:
- Lapwing 35 nests - 2 outside the fence,
- Redshank 24 nests,
- Snipe 2,
- Black-tailed Godwit 22!
Trześcianka - floodplains in the Narew river valey:
- Lapwing 12 nests,
- Redshank 2.
We are still working on this area.
These are the results from the first two monitorings. The areas will be checked 3 more times - until June. We have placed temperature sensors - ibutons - in the nests, which make it easier for us to track the fate of the incubated eggs.
